AV hire in Auckland should come with the people who know how to run it. Electric Boogie covers audio, lighting, staging and backline across the city and the wider country, run out of our workshop in Massey, West Auckland. We are equal parts artists and technicians, and we own a rider-specific inventory built for live music, operated by the same crew who design the show.
Because the kit is ours and the crew is ours, the plot, the load-in and the pack-out all come from one place. We work CBD waterfront venues, suburban halls and clubs, regional theatres and open paddocks, and we tour and crew festivals nationwide. The list below sets out where we go and what tends to come up in each area. The workshop is by appointment, so talk to us early and we will scope the room, the rig and the access before anything rolls.
Auckland CBD
Waterfront and city work, from the wharf to hotel ballrooms and inner-city clubs. We plan around tight load-in windows, lift access and house power so the rig goes in clean and comes out on time.
North Shore
Function centres, golf clubs and waterfront venues from Takapuna across to Albany and the coast. Easy reach over the bridge for full audio, lighting and staging, or a quick FOH and monitors package for a smaller room.
West Auckland
Home base. The workshop is in Massey, so West Auckland gets the shortest run from kit to site, whether that is a winery in the ranges, a hall in Henderson or a private event out west. By appointment for prep, pickups and pre-visualisation.
South Auckland
Manukau and the south for community events, cultural celebrations and large indoor functions. We bring the staging, line-array PA and lighting to fill a big room or marquee, with crew who set it up and run it across the day.
East Auckland
Howick, Botany and the eastern bays for weddings, corporate functions and private parties. A tidy, well-operated rig sized to the venue, with backline available when there is a band on the bill.
Waikato / Hamilton
Touring and event work down the line into Hamilton and the wider Waikato. We truck a full production south for theatre shows, A and P style events and festivals, and crew it with our own people rather than handing it off.
Tauranga / Bay of Plenty
Coastal and regional events through Tauranga and the Bay, from outdoor stages to indoor venues. Useful when a show needs temporary power, ground support and truss, and a crew that can plan a site from the ground up.
Wellington
Capital shows and touring dates, supported with full audio, lighting and staging. We pre-plan in CAD, build to the rider and travel the crew with the kit so the show lands the same in Wellington as it does at home.
Nationwide
For touring and festivals we go wherever the run does, the length of both islands. Technical direction, festival infrastructure, projection mapping and d&b audiotechnik amplification, planned in pre-visualisation and delivered by the crew who designed it.
